1、 Core feature: seamless overall structure without welds

2、 Manufacturing process
The forming process of seamless elbows needs to be selected according to material, size, and performance requirements. Common methods include:
Hot pressing process
Heat the seamless tube blank to a plastic state, and use specialized molds (core mold, outer mold) to bend the tube blank along the mold trajectory under the action of thrust.
Suitable for small and medium-sized elbows (such as DN15-DN600), with high dimensional accuracy, uniform wall thickness, and stable mechanical properties after forming.
Hot pressing process
After heating the tube blank, it is placed into the mold and pressed directly into an elbow shape (similar to a hot pressed elbow, but made of seamless tube blank) through hydraulic pressure.
Suitable for large-diameter or thick walled seamless elbows, capable of withstanding higher pressures.
Cold pressing process
Apply pressure to the seamless tube blank at room temperature to bend it into shape, and control the deformation amount with the mold.
Suitable for thin-walled and small-diameter elbows, with a smooth surface after forming, but requiring high material toughness (such as stainless steel).
3、 Classification method
Divided by angle
Common angles: 90 °, 45 °, 180 ° (U-bend), in addition to special angles such as 30 °, 60 °, etc., can be customized according to the direction of the pipeline.
Divided by curvature radius
Long radius elbow (LR): curvature radius R=1.5 times nominal diameter (1.5D), low fluid resistance, suitable for most low to medium pressure pipelines.
Short radius elbow (SR): curvature radius R=1.0 times nominal diameter (1.0D), occupying small space, suitable for scenarios with compact pipeline layout (such as equipment internal pipelines).
Classified by material
Carbon steel seamless elbow: such as 20 #, Q345, etc., with low cost, suitable for general industrial pipelines (such as water supply and heating).
Stainless steel seamless elbows, such as 304, 316, 321, etc., have strong corrosion resistance and are used in industries such as chemical, food, and pharmaceutical.
Alloy seamless elbow: such as 12Cr1MoV, Cr5Mo, etc., resistant to high temperature and high pressure, suitable for steam pipelines in power and petrochemical industries.

Selection criteria
It is necessary to match seamless elbows with corresponding materials and pressure levels based on parameters such as nominal diameter (DN), working pressure (PN), medium temperature, corrosiveness, etc. of the pipeline.
For example, alloy seamless elbows are selected for high-pressure steam pipelines, and 316 stainless steel seamless elbows are selected for seawater transportation pipelines.
Installation precautions
Before installation, it is necessary to check the surface of the elbow for cracks, dents, and other defects to ensure that the inner wall is smooth and free of impurities.
