Socket Weld Tee
Socket Weld Tee is a type of socket type pipe fitting used for pipeline branch connections. Both the main and branch pipelines adopt socket welding structures, which are widely used in small and medium-sized, high-pressure, and high sealing requirements pipeline systems. It is the core connector of branch pipelines in the chemical, petroleum, and power industries.
Structure and Manufacturing
The socket welding tee is in a "T" shape, and both ends of the main and branch pipes are designed with sockets (circular holes with steps). The inner diameter of the socket is slightly larger than the corresponding outer diameter of the pipeline (gap 0.5-1mm), and the depth of the step is 1/3-1/2 of the outer diameter of the pipeline, ensuring accurate positioning after pipeline insertion. The materials are mostly carbon steel (A105), stainless steel (316L), and alloy steel pipe (2.25Cr-1Mo), produced through forging process. The material is dense and free of pores, and after forging, heat treatment is carried out to eliminate internal stress, ensuring uniform mechanical properties in all parts.
Connection and Performance
Socket welding is used for connection: After the pipeline is inserted into the socket, a sealing ring is welded on the outside of the interface, and the height of the welding foot is not less than 1/2 of the pipeline wall thickness to avoid leakage caused by welding defects. Its pressure resistance level reaches Class 300 to Class 2500 (5-42MPa), with a working temperature of -20 ℃ to 450 ℃, suitable for transporting high-pressure steam, oil and gas, corrosive media, etc. Due to the tight fit between the socket and the pipeline, the flow resistance is 20% -30% lower than that of threaded tees, reducing energy consumption during medium transportation.

Feed/discharge branch pipe of chemical high-pressure reactor (316L material corrosion-resistant);
Branch of lubricating oil pipeline for power plant turbine (alloy steel pipe tee resistant to high temperature of 300 ℃);
Mud pipeline diversion of oil drilling platform (A105 tee can withstand 16MPa pressure).
